Algebra 1
Algebra 1 is the first course in the regular mathematics sequence. It follows the benchmarks and standards of the Michigan Merit Curriculum. There will be an emphasis on developing algebra skills while adding depth to problem-solving and
the modeling of real-world problems. The course content will include a rigorous approach to solving, graphing, and writing linear, quadratic, rational, and exponential functions. After successful completion of this course students are required to complete geometry, algebra 2, and a fourth credit of mathematics (or its equivalent)
during the senior year.
